TeakBotanical name: Tectona Grandis
Teak is probably the king of all woods being unchallenged among all the worlds' hardwoods. Used extensively in the marine trade especially for yacht decks.
Being a very oily wood it is extremely rot resistant. When varnished it produces a stunning dark rich colour. When left exposed to the sun without any coatings it takes on a beautiful silver colour.
